Position Summary: The School of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Health Physics invites applications for one or more part-time, non-tenure track, 9 month, fixed-term Instructor positions for our Medical Physics Program to teach on a term by term basis for 2014-2015. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the School Head. This position will teach at the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) and/or OSU campus.

Position Duties: 95% Design, develop and teach a variety of graduate level Medical Physics courses. The instructor will teach courses mainly on the OHSU campus with the possibility of teaching on the OSU campus. Some courses may be offered to on-line campus students.

5% Advising and other administrative duties.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: Master of Science (MS) in Medical Physics or closely related field.

Teaching Experience.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OAR 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology (DABR)

PhD in Medical Physics or closely related field.

Applicants should be able to teach most undergraduate Medical Physics courses.

Experience in Medical Physics course development and delivery.

Experience in student advising and curriculum development.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
