Position Summary: The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Health Physics is recruiting for part-time instructors to teach on a term by term basis for the 2014-2015 academic year. These appointments are fixed term, non-tenure track, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the department head.

The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Health Physics is in the College of Engineering. The primary mission of the department is undergraduate and graduate education and research. The curriculum encompasses the broad areas of nuclear and radiation sciences, engineering and technology. The department has approximately 200 undergraduate and 160 graduate students. The faculty includes 11 members with areas of specialization that include nuclear reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, computational methods and health physics. Position Duties: 100% Teaching and Instruction

Instructors may be needed to teach courses in the following areas; nuclear engineering, radiation health physics, medical physics, radiochemistry or engineering science.

Working Conditions/Work Schedule: Office and classroom.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: PhD in nuclear engineering, radiation health physics, radiochemistry, medical physics or closely related field, OR MS with relevant industrial research experience in nuclear engineering, radiation health physics,thermodynamics, thermal fluids, radiochemistry, medical physics or engineering science.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: Teaching experience at the college or university level.
