Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be: education: equivalent to completion of an associate degree in the subject area or discipline to which assigned. Experience: one year of work experience instructing, tutoring or assisting in the instruction or tutoring of adult students in the subject area or discipline to which assigned. License or Certificate: possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license.

Desirable Qualifications
Certificate of Completion in Automotive Services Auto Technology or Auto Collision Repair Technology.
Be able to set up equipment for lab courses in the Automotive Services Department
Ability to assist with classroom instruction to explain to students the operation of equipment and proper use of tools that are used.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory of supplies, tools and parts for the Automotive Services Department.
Be able to complete purchases in accordance with district policy for the Automotive Services Department.
Ability to manage and coordinate supply purchases with vendors and work with/track budgets through the accounting and billing processes.
Assist with promoting the Automotive Services Department, coordinate student contact list and organize faculty advising for students.
Ability to work in a diverse community of students, faculty and administrators.
Possess excellent customer service skills to address the needs of students, faculty, advisory members and customers.
Ability to maintain and perform mechanical repairs of equipment and technology that are used in the Automotive Department labs.
