Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipate hiring at or near $31,400.
A Bachelor's degree and one year of complimentary experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years. Qualified candidates will be well-versed in the benefits of a comprehensive education. Public speaking experience is required. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software is required. Applicants must have a valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of complimentary experience preferred. We seek energetic candidates who are detail-oriented, and who work well independently as well as in a team. Experience working with diverse populations, reviewing transcripts, and interpreting and applying admissions tests is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments. Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Candidates with a strong sense of initiative and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently are preferred. The ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline-driven environment is essential.
Overnight travel (approximately eight  weeks of travel per year; in-state and out-of-state), evening, weekend, and extended hours are required, especially during the fall semester and from January through March.
Responsible for the evaluation of all undergraduate application types, including computing grade point averages, reviewing entrance test scores, reviewing transcripts, determining compliance with admissions policies, and maintaining application files. Assists with the acknowledgement of incomplete undergraduate application types and implements University policies and procedures relating to Undergraduate Admissions. Plans and coordinates recruitment activities. Represents Florida State University to prospective students, parents, and counselors by participating in such events as high school visits, college fairs, Preview, etc. Extensive contact with the public by phone, e-mail, or in person is required by the position*s duties. Counsels prospective students, providing information about the University and its programs. Overnight travel (approximately eight  weeks of travel per year; in-state and out-of-state), evening, weekend, and extended hours are required, especially during the fall semester and from January through March. Assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of the Office of Admissions and Records. Other duties and projects may be assigned by the Director of Admissions, or other senior staff members, as needed.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
