The graduate admissions coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for inquires about graduate studies at UNA. This comprehensive position coordinates all aspects of graduate admissions including recruitment; daily functions; and support for the College Deans, Department Chairs, Program Coordinators, and student support staff. Functions include screening prospective graduate students for preliminary eligibility; routing prospective graduate students to appropriate Program Coordinators for information regarding program-specific eligibility and appropriate academic advisement; attending outreach programs for the purpose of advising and recruiting graduate students; interpreting and disseminating graduate admissions policies and procedures; providing professional and technical support for the College Deans, Program Coordinators, and all other appropriate faculty and staff; attending professional meetings as appropriate to keep abreast of current trends and interests in graduate education; managing the admissions process for all graduate applicants; possessing an extensive knowledge of Banner and related products, including Xtender; ensuring timely processing of all graduate applications; maintaining accurate database to track admission status, enrollment, and program completion rates; reporting data and trend analyses to the Vice President for Enrollment Management at the conclusion of each semester; and other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management. Essential job duties include: Coordinates day-to-day activities of the Office of Graduate Admissions; Serves as the initial point of contact for prospective graduate students and provides general information regarding all graduate offerings; Evaluates academic credentials/transcripts associated with the general graduate admission process; Routes applications to the appropriate academic Program Coordinator for the evaluation of eligibility; Maintains all graduate records including imaging files, collection of required documentation, and data entry; Maintains the Graduate Admissions webpage as a common portal for disseminating all information for graduate programs; Ensures all webpage and printed recruitment materials are current and accurate in accordance with university policy; Corresponds to graduate applicants as appropriate; Serves as primary recruiter for all graduate education outreach programs; Attends graduate recruiting fairs; Presents graduate programs of study and admission requirements for each program to potential candidates, matching qualifications with academic and career interests; Provides general information regarding student services such as financial aid and graduate assistantship opportunities; Seeks out venues to promote and expand graduate education; Explores new marketing and promotional venues to promote graduate education; Attends professional meetings as appropriate; Provides the VP for Enrollment Management with critical enrollment and trend data, feedback from outreach programs, interest inventories, and employer surveys; Works with College Deans, Department Chairs, and Program Coordinators to develop promotional materials in accordance with University graphic standards and policies; Attends Graduate Council meetings to ensure appropriate application of all approved policy changes; Provides application summaries of graduate students to appropriate Program Coordinator for the College Deans' approval; Performs all other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred; Experience in a university setting required; graduate admissions experience preferred.
