Posting Description: Specific duties and responsibilities of the Professional may include, but, are not limited to, the following: *Oversees all aspects of the Department's master annual education schedule and residency curriculum core block plan. *Manages all administrative aspects of the Department's Medical Student Education Program. *Manages all related education program files, student grading, and reporting requirements, to assure compliance with University policies. *Develops, implements, and manages a Mentored Scholarly Activity (MSA) program for the Department. This is a relatively new initiative within the School of Medicine. *Serves as the Department's expert and resource for CME policies and procedures. Coordinates CME course development, advising faculty within the CME guidelines and requirements. *Manages the Department's relationship and contracts with the Center for Surgical Innovation (CSI) and coordinates the Department's educational events at the CSI. *Manages all administrative aspects of Visiting Professors and the visits of other educational and/or quality guests or consultants, including visas (when applicable), travel logistics, and itineraries, assuring adherence to all University policies and procedures. *Manages all academic appointments and reviews administrative requirements for clinical (volunteer) faculty (involved in Education). Administers and maintains the Department's policy and listing of clinical faculty. *Provides back-up support to the Education Manager and assists with special projects or events.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university. Relevant experience in graduate medical education, higher education, medical school programs, or a health science center setting may be substituted for education/degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. 1-3 years of progressive experience in similar role/duties

Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *Demonstrated proficiency in administering programs, assuring compliance with rules, regulations and policies. *Strong decision making skills; ability to independently analyze and resolve complex problems. *Ability to determine the best approach to provide program services to clients or to creatively resolve problems. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels in the organization(s). *Strong organizational skills with attention to details and accuracy. *Ability to work independently, to multitask, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, with minimal supervision. *Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion with sensitive information. *Ability to understand and apply regulatory requirements at the program level. *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. *Effective interpersonal skills *Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Desired Qualifications: *Experience working in an academic medical center *Experience with medical education information management systems (e.g., New Innovations, Med Hub) *Experience and ability to analyze, evaluate, develop and implement improvements to a variety of work processes. *High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
