Job Description: East Carolina University is accepting applications for an Assistant Men's Tennis Coach. This is a full-time, salaried position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the tennis program, including recruiting, coaching, staff supervision, program maintenance, conducting practices social media and fundraising. East Carolina is a Division 1 institution and competes in the American Athletic Conference. Position will build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with Pirate Club, athletics, and University staff, students, business vendors and all donors and stakeholders. Position will also abide by all written policies and procedures of ECU, the Department of Athletics, The Educational Foundation (Pirate Club), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations. Collegiate coaching and playing experience is preferred. Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following: the ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student athletes; excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, other coaches and administrators.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of one year of successful coaching experience. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.
