Program/Project Coordinator I

Department Overview
The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks to improve educational practice through the generation of knowledge and to prepare education professionals who serve all students in an effective, inclusive, and equitable manner. Its focus is on the preparation of highly competent educators, researchers, and administrators who employ current theory and research as they fill these important roles. The department also provides service to educational institutions, governmental agencies, and practitioners at all levels.

Job Description
The Project Coordinator will work for a federally funded professional development program for mathematics and science teachers. Some of the duties will include:

*Help recruit participants
*Process participant agreement forms and scholarship applications
*Help coordinate and attend workshops
*Make purchases of materials and supplies
*Monitor budget account
*Process travel vouchers
*General office responsibilities
*Work as a team member

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have the following qualifications:

* Master's degree in education
* Teacher certification in ESL
