Associate Director, Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration We seek candidates who understand and value a Christian liberal arts approach to higher education and who are willing to invest themselves in the lives of students. Candidates must have a graduate degree (masters required; PhD preferred) and provide evidence of exemplary teaching. Concordia University, Irvine, seeks applicants for a fulltime position in the School of Arts and Sciences who can serve as Associate Director, Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration, providing leadership for the Concordia University Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration program while working with faculty, administration and the community to take this highly recognized program to broader and greater levels of service around the nation. All activities from the MCAA Program are to make a significant contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the university. Essential duties and responsibilities include: create, plan and implement programs that foster both growth of the MCAA program and enhance quality, effectiveness and efficiency; drive public relations and marketing efforts; lead and supervise the MCAA administrative team and faculty; provide analysis and reporting to a variety of constituents including university administration, accreditation bodies and governmental agencies. Education and/or experience: Minimally a Master’s degree, with extensive experience in teaching, coaching, athletics, and athletics administration, including 3 years of experience in athletic administration at the collegiate or secondary level and 3 years of successful participation in coaching at the collegiate or secondary level. Qualification requirements: creative aptitude; adaptability to changing conditions; work effectively with and through others; excellent communication and organization skills; ability to train and motivate others; exemplify Christian philosophy of Concordia University mission statement in all aspects of duties and responsibilities of this position. Rank and salary will be determined by credentials and experience.
