Educational Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of three years total work experience in an educational environment dealing with student activities, event planning, marketing, promotions, special events, or experience in a related field. At least two of the three years experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating campus-wide programming desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature and Purpose of Position: Assist the Associate Director of Student Activities in overall office management and the creation and implementation of large scale campus events and activities. Oversees the university student programming board.

Primary Responsibilities: Assist the Associate Director of Student Activities in planning and implementing campus-wide retention and student development programs including Welcome Week, Bearkat Alley, Homecoming, Tree of Light, Organization Fairs, and The Sammy Awards. Plan and execute special events as assigned by the Department of Student Activities. Complete all paperwork in relation to campus events. Prepare, budget, and maintain financial records for event accounts. Coordinate volunteer programming and activities. Produce promotional materials such as newsletters, publications and departmental videos. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications: Almost daily contact with other campus departments, faculty, administration, staff, parents, and students. Occasionally requires working outside for outdoor events and incumbent could be exposed to various weather elements.
