Job Description Summary/Essential Duties:
Directs the college-based technical occupational programs through documentation of compliance with state funding requirements, instructor qualification process, identification of market needs, and development of projections for new or revised programs and the coordination of existing programs. Responsible for evaluating and approving the qualifications of instructors to be submitted for certification. Promotes business/industry/community awareness of the college technical occupational programs through catalogs, schedules, brochures, career days and various other outreach/advertising activities. Coordinates the submission process for Coordinating Board certification of technical occupational courses. Participates in the evaluation of technical occupational courses and cost effective delivery. Maintains close contact with training needs of market area to identify program creation and update. Administer grants related to technical occupational programs. Designs and executes a staffing plan to meet requirements through selection, training, evaluation and supervision of assigned staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Master’s degree or more plus three years of experience in technical education environment including teaching and supervisory responsibilities. Requires basic knowledge of the Coordinating Board organization and its relationship to the community college and experience in developing and administering grants. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service. Official transcript will be required. * Will be subject to a criminal background check and/or fingerprinting.*
Position Specific Qualifications:
Coordinates the college curriculum process, course catalog descriptions and relevant documentation.
Assists with SACSCOC compliance monitoring and documentation such as substantive change, program development and program review.
