Job Description Summary/Essential Duties:

An intermediate level position that provides a variety of assessment/enrollment services in an admissions office environment (credit/non-credit). Usually, a front-line individual processing in-person, phone, and/or mail-in admissions/registration requests requiring considerable amount of attention to detail. Also provides general office support to work area. Acts as an information source, providing information related to DCCCD policies and procedures and state and federal regulations related to admissions/registration. Processes applications for enrollment; accepts applications, inputs data, verifies for completeness and accuracy and screens students for eligibility. Responsible for accepting and completing enrollment verifications and deferments; gathering data and certifying enrollment of students enrollment. Responsible for processing counter, phone, and/or online enrollment applications and registration requests. Provides general office support to work area, such as, maintaining files and records, ordering supplies, manage wait lists, etc. Responsible for printing a large volume of certificates prior to course completion on a timely basis. Responsible for coordination of course evaluation packets, gathering, distribution and collection. Responsible for distribution of class rolls for all classes given by location/department. Responsible for scanning documents into district digital imaging records management system. Assists in other areas during peak times, such as but not limited to, graduation, transcript evaluation, etc. Responsible for final grade input. Some positions may assist and/or participate in special projects in order to achieve prescribed goals. Participate in recruiting activities. Assist with removing blocks from student records. Assign students to classes on flexible schedule as space is available. Notifies appropriate persons of assignments and maintains student records. Coordinate the admissions and registration processes for special programs and populations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally may be required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds.

Associate's degree or higher plus one years of admissions experience either in continuing education or credit departments or graduation from high school plus three years of admissions experience either in continuing education or credit departments. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others. Excellent ability to interpret and communicate DCCCD policies and procedures and external agency regulations to varying levels of DCCCD staff and students from diverse backgrounds. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage and work with highly confidential information. Excellent data entry skills and ability to alphabetize accurately. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service. Official transcript will be required. *Will be subject to a criminal background check.*

Position Specific Qualifications:

Will be working with the Degree Audit Team. Will work with transcripts, incoming graduation applications, degree plans and scanning. Will be the front line employee for Degree Audit.
