Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice
Saint Augustine’s University is a regionally accredited, private university that provides educational programs at the undergraduate level. Saint Augustine’s University is seeking applicants for a full-time position I criminal justice beginning August 2014. Applicants must demonstrate teaching and scholarly excellence in their specialties; however, the area of specialization is open. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching 12 semester credit hours of a combination of undergraduate criminal justice courses in each fall and spring semester; advising students; providing services to the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences; and the wider university. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching introductory and advanced courses in criminal justice. Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to teach Criminal Justice Research and Criminal Justice Statistics. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with an earned doctorate or ABD in criminal justice from an accredited institution preferred, but candidates enrolled in an accredited Ph.D program will be considered. The JD degree is not a sufficient qualification for this position.
