Position Summary: The Energy Manager is responsible for analyzing current energy usage and developing a site wide energy management plan in order to provide proper environmental conditions with cost effective energy utilization and primary goad to reduce site-wide energy consumption. Conduct building energy audits and building facility assessments in accordance with Department of Energy (DOE) and Federal Information Management System (FIMS) requirements. The Energy Manager will also responsible for the HVAC control and energy tracking computer system in order to achieve improved performance. Other responsibilities will include compiling budgets and energy conservation cost estimates, pursuing outside funding sources or rebate programs for equipment retrofits, evaluating project requirements with engineers and providing solutions with options that combine risk, cost and technical aspects, developing short and long-range plans for implementing energy innovations, all energy reporting, conducting building energy audits and assessments, compiling with the DOE energy and water conservation goals by coordinating the use of the Building Automation System (BAS) to track and improve energy and water usage.

Essential Qualifications: Qualifications include: a BA degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or a related field with an emphasis of facility and energy management, knowledge of building automation systems and controls , superior communication skills both written and oral are essential, must be self-motivated and have a proactive approach to solving programs, excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. A valid drivers license, knowledge of federal DOE, Department of Transportation (DOT) and General Service Administration (GSA) regulations and a Certified Energy Manger (CEM) is required. The successful candidate should have the ability to lift 50 pounds, work in confined awkward positions and have the ability to work in confined spaces and from elevated platforms, scaffolding and ladders.

Preferred Qualifications: A PE designation is highly desirable SEIMENS Apogee Building Automation Systems and Controls is a plus
