The Assistant Manager of Online Education for the College of Advancing and Professional Studies (CAPS) will assist with the delivery of 500 courses annually and provide information to prospective and enrolled students. The Assistant Manager will also: work with the Manager of Online Education to prepare changes and corrections to each semester’s schedule of courses; assist students registering for online courses and enrolling into the Learning Management System; troubleshoot individual student registration and LMS enrollment issues; assist with special enrollment considerations to specific individual online programs; notifies CAPS credit and HR staff of course cancellations and the need to open additional course sections; maintain student course evaluation records; track course development stipends and course buyouts; maintain records of revenue sharing agreements with academic departments and UMassOnline; resolve individual student and faculty issues relating to online course registration and LMS enrollment; makes appropriate referrals for technical support to IT Services, Video Production/Distance Learning, and UMassOnline; maintain communication links with other related departments; and prepare enrollment reports. Requirements: B.A. or B.S. degree required. Minimum of two years experience in a higher education setting, preferably in an online education environment. Familiarity with web course management software and web-conferencing software. Familiarity with PeopleSoft Student Records a plus. Ability to engage in multiple activities simultaneously and under strict time constraints. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
