Commencing Fall 2014: The Civil Engineering Technology position is a full-time, ten-month faculty position in the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of Accrediting Board for Engineering Technology (ETAC-ABET) accredited Civil Engineering Technology Program, in the Center for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Responsibilities include instruction in a wide range of courses in the program, advising, curriculum development and other duties within the Center as well as the College. The candidate should be proficient in teaching microstation, soil mechanics, reinforced concrete, construction management, and transportation. Candidates will be expected to teach in the classroom as well as in the laboratory setting. This position requires a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field or current enrollment with significant progress in a Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or closely related field. Successful completion of the appropriate Master’s degree is a condition of continuous employment. A minimum of three (3) years experience in the Civil Engineering field required. The applicant will need to possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and will be expected to support the mission of the College while teaching a wide range of Civil Engineering Technology courses.
