Direct programs and activities for the College of Arts and Sciences(CAS) Office of Student Programs and Leadership (OSPL) designed to improve the undergraduate co-curricular experience. Develop student leadership and promote community within the College. Plan, implement and assess the Colleges First Year Experience programming, which includes 35+ sections of the Colleges first year seminar, FY 101. Provide training and support to staff instructors, and teach multiple sections of the course. Manage the CAS Peer Mentor program including selection, training, and all operations/logistics. Liaise with Admissions to oversee the Colleges recruitment efforts with prospective and admitted students through outreach and programming including CAS Open House events. Oversee CAS Commencement-related events and programs, including 20+ CAS convocation ceremonies and CAS Class Day. Develop relationships with coordinators in CAS academic departments and collaborate with campus partners across the University. Represent CAS through service on committees and at University-wide meetings. Advise CAS Deans Hosts & CAS Student Government. Supervise the Assistant Director. Oversee budget.Required Skills
Masters Degree, excellent leadership, communication, public speaking and writing skills, and five to seven years of student life experience, preferably in a college or university setting.
