Posting Description: Examples of Work Preformed: Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: * Financial Management: o Management and oversight of the Health Sciences Library's program budgets and Speed types (this includes general funds, auxiliaries and gift accounts); o Develops HSL's annual budget of $5M for the library and PASCAL speed types including cost studies; o Offers fiscal support to the Collection Management and Information Technology Departments within the HSL; o Tracks expenses and develops projections to budget; o Interacts regularly with HSL Department Heads for fiscal planning, allocation of funds and expenditures and to review statements; o Experience with contracts, including fee-for-service with Clinical affiliates, and others. * Accounting: o Approval of General Fund, auxiliary, and gift account fiscal transactions, including procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and travel; o Serves as authorized administrator for all budget and financial journal entries and all payroll expense transfers; and o Oversight of Concur Travel and Expense, with respect to travel planning & accounting and expense reimbursements, and working with staff on day-to-day reporting issues. o Approving Official for all procurement card holders in the HSL and PASCAL facility * Procurement: o Oversight and approval authority for CU Marketplace transactions for the Health Sciences Library. * Physical Facility: o Serves as signature authority for ID Badging & Access requests, related to Health Sciences Library staff and PASCAL staff; o Oversight of any physical building projects. * Human Resources/Personnel: o Ensures and approves payroll for all employee types; o Liaison with HR on new hires and other HR processes; o Manages HRMS (Human Resources Management System) data for staff; and o Applies knowledge of university and state regulations for records retention. * Other: o Responsible for daily decision-making and problem resolution; establish processes to resolve issues or problems, and expedite referral of matters to appropriate offices for follow-up; o Serves as Assistant to the Director, including managing the Director's calendar and email and other activities and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's Degree * Three years of budgeting, accounting, and/or financial experience SUBSTITUTION: * Commensurate experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the Bachelor's degree, but not for the three years of budgeting, accounting, and/or financial experience.

Desired Qualifications: Preferred Requirements * Experience with and knowledge of the University of Colorado System or a similar academic institution and agencies of the State of Colorado * Prior work experience for a CEO and/or leadership team * Five (5) years HR/Finance/PeopleSoft/or similar systems experience * Intermediate to advanced levels of experience creating documents, financial reports, spreadsheets and databases * Office management experience * Experience updating social media platforms within a professional environment
