Position Summary: Will review international academic credentials submitted by applicants for authenticity of documents and comparability of credits and degrees and communicates with departments and applicants concerning such credentials; determines the recognition status of foreign institutions and programs; develops and maintains information materials and resource libraries related to international credential requirements and processes.

Knowledge to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelor's degree from accredited institution (or the foreign equivalent); one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in reviewing and admitting international student applicants and/or evaluating foreign academic credentials; experience with foreign education systems; experience researching and collecting information on foreign educational credentials; experience with foreign language dictionaries; experience with spreadsheet and database software; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Experience determining educational comparability between foreign and U.S. systems; experience working with external credential agencies; a working knowledge of one or more foreign languages; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with different cultural groups; experience with publications in the field of international credential evaluation; knowledge of university admission process; intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and/or MS-Access.
