The communication and marketing unit is comprised of passionate, curious, self-motivated and deadline-driven communication professionals who enjoy a fast-paced environment. The unit is responsible for developing, executing and measuring an integrated communication and marketing plan that utilizes the public web site, MyCUBoulder portal, live chat technology, social media, print publications, a customer relations management tool and other electronic media. *What your key responsibilities will be:* As the Communication Coordinator for the Office of Admissions at the University of Colorado Boulder, this position coordinates multiple communication campaigns supporting domestic student recruitment efforts across a broad spectrum of niche markets and is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for the office's social media and live chat efforts. Responsibilities include: * Serves as the communication liaison to multiple undergraduate admissions recruitment teams and with guidance from the communication & marketing Senior Assistant Director, this position coordinates multiple communication campaigns supporting domestic recruitment efforts across a broad spectrum of niche markets. This includes, but is not limited to: e-mail communication, presentation development, social media communication, print communication, and communication through the office's portal and public websites. * Ensures that all media are fully utilized and coordinated with all campaigns by working closely and collaboratively with communication and marketing team members. * Within the communication plan, manages specific, and multiple, prospective student campaigns, which includes designing, testing, sending and assessing communication using a customer relationship management (CRM) software application. * In conjunction with the associate director, the position develops, implements and assesses the communication and marketing strategy for the office's social media and live chat efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, fully developing and implementing a live chat strategy and social media campaign that covers multiple social media outlets and that fully capitalizes on each unique product's strengths. * Guides the office's decision making on how to strategically use each social media outlet at the appropriate time and for the appropriate message. * Hires, trains and coaches a student social media intern. * Monitors, tracks, distributes and, when appropriate, answers incoming e-mails from prospective students, family members and counselors. Acts as a back-up to the staff responsible for fixing prospective student portal accounts. * Stays abreast of industry developments to maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities including: changes in regulations, technology and best practices. --- *What we can offer:* Annual salary range $39,000-$43,000 commensurate with skills and experience. Minimum Qualifications: *What we require:* * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university * One year of experience coordinating communication projects and/or marketing campaigns for a professional organization * One year of experience developing, implementing and assessing a social media strategy for a professional organization. * Experience with live chats. * Ability to manage and analyze data. * Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and with either HTML coding and/or an HTML editor.

Desired Qualifications: *What we'd like you to have:* * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, public relations or closely related field * Experience working collaboratively with communication specialists and admission specialists in a professional organization * At least three (3) years of experience working with team collaborations in a marketing/communications environment in a professional organization * Experience coordinating live chat events * Experience with customer relations management systems * At least three (3) years of experience specifically coordinating electronic communication projects and/or electronic marketing campaigns in a professional organization * Experience with PeopleSoft/Oracle software applications * Intermediate experience with HTML and/or an HTML editor, especially Drupal * Intermediate experience with PowerPoint, Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator and/or other Adobe Creative Suite applications * Experience in an admissions office or in higher education * Knowledge of CU-Boulder _Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified._
