Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd and Scripps Colleges (NCAA Division III) invite applications for a head coaching position to administer all aspects of the CMS intercollegiate women’s lacrosse program. This is a full-time, non-tenured faculty position, beginning immediately. Head coaching responsibilities include management of all facets of the lacrosse program including but not limited to: coaching/teaching, recruiting, budget management, administration, scheduling of competitions, team travel, weekly practice sessions, hiring and supervision of assistant coaches, counseling of students, and compliance with NCAA and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) rules and regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the role of athletics in the Liberal Arts College curriculum, and the integration of the student-athlete and coaching staff into the overall educational experience offered at The Colleges. Teaching responsibilities include instruction in the required physical education activities program. Additional responsibilities will include department-wide duties as assigned. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, athletic faculty appointment. The Joint CMS Program consists of Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Scripps Colleges and offers a comprehensive program of regular physical education, intramural, recreational, and club sports. CMS teams compete in the SCIAC as a member of NCAA Division III. The program provides 10 men’s varsity sports and 11 women’s varsity sports and supports a student population of 2,900.
