Director of Recruitment for Graduate Business Programs
The Frank G. Zarb School of Business is conducting a search for the position of Director of Recruitment for Graduate Business Programs. This position includes responsibilities for marketing graduate programs and representing the School of Business to the community at large. This is a Fulltime position. Job Responsibilities: • Develop relationships with Human Resources Directors of large and mid-sized organizations on Long Island and New York City (preferably those with tuition reimbursement programs) • Recruit new students from Long Island and New York City businesses • Advance relationships with the U.S. Military for developing programs • Create cohort discount programs for companies that supply a critical mass of new students • Point of contact for recruited students, providing full-service support for those recruited students from prospect through graduation • Maintain inventory of promotional literature • Work with the Director of Outreach to update/create new promotional literature • Schedule and organize Zarb Graduate Business information sessions • Conduct on-campus and off-campus information sessions • Event planning for orientations and other current student events The new Director of Recruitment for Graduate Business Programs must have the following skills: • 5+ years of full life cycle recruitment experience • Bachelor’s degree • Possess excellent communication skills, analytical skills and presentation skills • Must have excellent public speaking skills • Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with other areas within the University, particularly with members of the Dean’s Office, Department Chairs and Program Directors. • Must be skilled in recruiting new students, presenting School of Business programs to small and large groups in both the public and private sectors • Must have a proven track record of marketing in a university setting while being able to work with and converse with professionals in the private sector • Effective communicator, both oral and written, with prior experience delivering presentations • Strong organizational and administrative skills • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills • Excellent customer service skills and follow-through • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment • Strong networking/relationship building skills • Must have experience meeting with internal/external clients • Must have excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in the latest word processing, presentation and data analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Suite, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree • Banner experience • Higher education advisement experience For consideration, please email resume and cover letter as attachments to Jeffrey.D.Mon@hofstra.edu with “Director of Recruitment for Graduate Business Programs” in the subject line, or mail directly to: Jeffrey D.
