The Vice President is responsible for one or more major College divisions and serves as a member of the President's Cabinet. He/she incorporates innovative practices into plans and strategies and collaborates with other College and University executives, and outside organizations as needed, to develop appropriate policy and acquire resources. He/she is a dynamic leader of an executive team responsible for personnel, budget, operations, and communications.

Lehman College of The City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking a Vice President for Enrollment Management to lead College efforts to build upon its enrollment successes.

Reporting to the Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and serving as a member of the College's senior management team, the Vice President will provide strategic leadership and operational management to develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment management program that focuses on sustained, positive results in recruiting, enrolling, retaining, and graduating an academically prepared student body. The Vice President oversees the following offices: Academic Standards and Evaluations, Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions and Recruitment, Graduate Studies, Registrar, SEEK, Special Academic Sessions, and Testing and Scholarships. The portfolio also includes pre-college programs, community college articulation and transfer programs, and freshman and sophomore year initiatives.

The Vice President's portfolio will also include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Provide leadership to achieve strategic plan objectives related to enrollment management and student success.
- Collaborate with College academic and administrative personnel on the development of enrollment goals, targets, and metrics for target populations; monitor, assess, and report progress to accomplish goals.
- Collaborate with University (CUNY), regional community colleges, and external organizations to develop and implement programs and services that result in improved student success.
- Foster a culture of continuous assessment to improve divisional effectiveness and services to students and to link assessment results to budget planning and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the Office of Information Technology and the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment to develop a data system and analytical tools to support strategic enrollment management.
- Work closely with Institutional Advancement and Media Relations to develop communication and marketing strategies that contribute to successful recruiting and retention programs.
- Achieve high levels of staff performance through effective recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Serve on University, College, and community committees and task forces.


This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College.


Candidates should have a minimum of eight years managerial experience overseeing an enrollment management program in a College or University. They should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team-oriented philosophy, demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff, and have a personal presence that is active and engaged. Other required competencies include strong management, budget, planning, and data analysis skills, including a familiarity with predictive modeling; knowledge of best practices, research, and technological advancements in student information systems; the ability to articulate innovative ideas and approaches to enrollment management for a public university in an urban area; experience using market research to develop recruitment and retention strategies and social media to recruit, coupled with a competitive drive to achieve enrollment management goals and continuous improvement. Some travel, evening, and weekend work required. A Master's degree is required; a doctorate or equivalent is preferred.
