Position Summary: Provides prescribed treatment to patients after initial physician referral and/or evaluation by physical therapist; documents patient treatment in medical record; designs, educates, and instructs patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercise programs; administers modalities; casts, braces, splints, tapes, and fits orthotics and compression garments as directed; participates in team meetings and patient conferences as scheduled; works with patient care coordinator, business manager, and support staff to maintain a consistent schedule and adhere to requirements and limitation imposed by insurance companies to ensure compliance with regulations and financial viability.

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a master's in physical education with relevant coursework in athletic training; three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in all aspects of athletic training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Gastons trained; Functional Movement certified; Y balance certified; Kinesiotape trained and McConnell taping experience; knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.

Summary of Health Risks and Physical Demands (if applicable): Duties associated with this position involve TB risk or working within three feet of human patients in an athletic/health care setting, wearing a respirator, and other risks that have been identified by Environmental Health and Safety.
