Duties and Responsibilities Teach four Spanish classes per term from introductory through all levels of language and culture, including possible assignment at the Caperton Center campus; recruit and retain majors to build the Spanish program; advise majors; collect and document program and course assessment data; serve on committees; and participate in the overall academic community.

Minimum Required Education Ph.D.in Spanish or Ed.D. in second-language acquisition or related field.

Type and Amount of Experience Needed None

Preferred Qualifications Experience with outcomes-based education, assessment, foreign-language pedagogy, distance education, and online language labs preferred.
