Position Summary: The successful candidate will be the lead administrator for the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and will be responsible for ensuring that the research, teaching, and service missions of the department are achieved. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain a high quality, internationally recognized and extramurally funded research program. This person will promote faculty development and represent the interests of the faculty as a whole. The successful candidate will be expected to interact productively with the Deans of the Colleges of Veterinary, Human, and Osteopathic Medicine, the College of Natural Science and the Director of AgBioResearch. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that the Department maintains a high quality graduate program that attracts and trains a diverse group of graduate students. This person will promote diversity in all facets of the department.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements Acceptable in lieu of Ph.D. with appropriate research experience and administrative experience and accomplishments: M.D., D.V.M, D.O., D.Phil., D. Sc.; Candidates will be required to have a record of peer-reviewed publications.
