JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the leading and managing the development of assigned products and services throughout entire lifecycle. Works with executives, management and staff to identify, refine and analyze product and service opportunities to drive revenue and support association mission. Leads programmatic, subject matter and technical experts in defining product requirements and deliverables. Develops and manages project plans and budgets in coordination with technical and professional staff. Coordinates deployment and support of completed products and services and works closely with marketing on product roll out. Accountable for the success of all products and services including financial performance, quality and customer satisfaction. Product and service portfolio may include continuing education webinars, courses, and programs, conferences and events, and websites and web applications. JOB FUNCTIONS • Collaborates with product development director, executive leadership, and association staff to define product strategies and identify, analyze, and prioritize product development opportunities. • Collaborates with programmatic staff to develop product lines and offerings to align with programmatic priorities and activities. • Analyzes product opportunities and develops business cases to support decision making on new products and assists product development director and executive leadership in evaluating, prioritizing and selection products for development. • Leads and mentors subject matter experts and technical staff to define tasks, milestones, dependencies, timelines and costs to create project plans and budgets • Leads and supports subject matter experts, technical, editorial and specialty staff to ensure that product requirements and designs are defined and documented. • Coordinates quality control activities and conducts hands-on review to ensure products meet ANA standards. • Coordinates with Marketing and Communication to support product release and sales effort. • Facilitates communication across the product team and provides status reports to the Product Development Director and Executive Leadership as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • MBA degree required • 7 years of experience in life cycle product development • 5 years of demonstrated experience managing and delivering high-risk, high-value projects • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired, but not required • Experience with health care market desired, but not required KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • Ability to work with subject matter experts to understand market and customers. • Product and service experience to devise products to meet market needs. • Business and financial background and ability develop and assess business cases for new products. • Ability to anticipate and assess risks and devise solutions to mitigate risk. • Strong project management skills with ability to lead and work across functions to define project tasks and timelines and manage projects to successful completion. • Proficient with project management tools such as MS Project or similar. • Strong problem solving, financial, analytical and critical thinking skills. • Comfort with ambiguity, change, and unpredictability. • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
