Director of the Academic Tutoring and Training Information Center (ATTIC)

The Office of Advising and Co-Curricular Programs at Lafayette College seeks applications for the position of Director of the ATTIC, an 11-month administrative position reporting to the Dean of Advising and Co-Curricular Programs. The Director supervises the ATTIC professional and support staff and oversees the full range of ATTIC support services. The Director works closely with students and collaborates with families, faculty, and staff to support the academic experience of all Lafayette students.

Responsibilities: This position has direct responsibility for managing/overseeing ATTIC services including peer tutoring and Supplemental Instruction programs; the Director will be charged with certifying the peer tutoring program through CRLA. In addition, the Director maintains oversight of academic support for student athletes as well as Disability Services. This position is directly involved in providing study skills assistance to students in individual and group formats. This position requires a specialist with a strong academic background in the effective delivery of student support/services who is able to communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of campus constituencies. 

Requirements: Master’s degree in higher education, social work, counseling, or a related field; 4-5 years of experience in a professional setting; awareness and track record of success working with, supporting, and advocating for diverse communities; demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of partners including students, faculty, staff, and parents; strong professional skills including the ability to collaborate and problem solve in a team context; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; strong organizational and computer skills; ability to work independently and effectively; strong leadership skills.

Desired Qualifications: Experience in college support services; high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical decision-making; experience with program development and implementation; supervisory experience.
