Assistant/Associate Professor - Cataloging and Digital Initiatives Librarian
The Cataloging and Digital Initiatives Librarian will oversee the work of one librarian and supervise two library paraprofessionals. Cataloging includes original and copy cataloging of all formats, including print and special formats, authority control, database maintenance, and special projects. Metadata includes all aspects of developing the institutional repository metadata creation and ingest procedures. The incumbent will establish policies; develop procedures; set goals; design and monitor workflow; adopt and implement new technologies; supervise, train and evaluate staff; serve as a member of the Library Council; participate in faculty governance, administrative committees, and special library projects and campus committees. This position will participate in appropriate faculty and professional activities, including serving on college and departmental committees, and professional involvement and activity at the State and national levels.
