Position Summary: The Champion for Clinical Practice Development will be responsible for enhancing and assuring the quality of clinical practices and health system partnerships for the College of Nursing within the context of the strategic goals of the College of Nursing. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Academic and Clinical Affairs and works collaboratively with program directors and clinical practice leadership within the university and community. In addition, this position will be responsible for program development related to health care system operations including improving access, cost, quality and value of services and the development of nursing roles within an interprofessional team care environment in collaboration with the Associate Dean and the faculty. The Champion will represent the College of Nursing in University, community and professional groups and advocate for practice partnership development. This is a twelve month appointment with effort distributed across administration, teaching and research/scholarship.

In addition to a Doctorate in Nursing or related field, Master of Science in Nursing is required. Eligible to obtain RN license in Michigan, Record of progressive health care leadership experience, Experience in baccalaureate or higher teaching experience; National certification as Nurse Executive or APRN, Excellent oral and written communication skills, Ability to communicate the vision, mission and strategic goals of the College of Nursing to a variety of audiences
