Dean of Admissions & Enrollment Management
The Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management manages the Admissions office and oversees achieving the College’s overarching strategic enrollment management goals. This individual manages recruiting and outreach for the College using various strategies to attract new, transfer and non- enrolled students. The Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management will implement strategies designed to improve application generation and yield rates for accepted and enrolled students. He/She will also administer policies and procedures necessary to awarding of federal, state, institutional and scholarship funding. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to the administration and use of the Banner data system to administer both admissions and enrollment management goals. Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree or higher required in education or other related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a post-secondary setting required, preferably in a community college setting. Some knowledge and experience administering federal, state and private financial aid funding. Experience with the Banner records system highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field of admissions and enrollment management. Responsibilities: Develop annual recruiting plan as part of the College’s Strategic Enrollment Management plan including communication plans for various student populations and determining print and electronic publication needs. Measure and assess results of marketing and recruiting activities to ensure the College is focusing on successful strategies to attract and enroll students. Collaborate with academic and other departments to determine programmatic goals for enrollment. Develop a tele-counseling program designed to establish connections and influence decisions to enroll. Develop a systematic campus visit program and tracking system to determine yield rates for these efforts. Advise on all matters regarding financial aid as they impact admissions, enrollment and retention. Maintain records of all Admissions applicants, to satisfy audit standards. Compile and provide relevant student enrollment data. Continuously evaluate the use of the Banner system to ensure integrity of data and appropriate use of information. Maximize automation of these systems to create greater efficiencies and effectiveness of the operations. Develop and monitor the Admissions operational budget. Exercise effective management of all human resources within the area of responsibility in accordance with established polices and/or contractual agreements. Support staff in providing quality customer service to students, prospective students and their families. Perform other duties as assigned.
