The University Editor has final authority on behalf of the campus administration for ensuring that the content of the UC Irvine General Catalogue, a legal contract between the institution and its students, is consistent with UC Irvine's overall missions, goals, and objectives as identified in its academic degree programs, plans, and policies. The Editor is responsible for all aspects of the General Catalogue which includes content, structure, and publication. As a consultant to the UC Irvine Academic Senate, the Editor participates in the analysis of and development of courses, selected academic degree programs, plans, and policies in response to University need or to Systemwide policy.
