Job Description Summary

The Director, College Access Program provides leadership and direction for the College Access Program and Student Disability Services.

Job Responsibilities

•Oversees provision of accommodations and services for students with disabilities
•Guarantees the fulfillment of all objectives and activities of grant-funded programs
•Acts as a liaison between the College and community agencies
•Manages database to track student services and outcomes
•Prepares and monitors budget
•Develops and writes proposals
•Prepares and submits federal, state, and internal reports as required
•Serves on various College committees
•Serves on various community committees and boards
•Stays current with changes in the field and disability legislation
•Supervises all staff members, conducts regular evaluations and staff training meetings
•Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•Master's Degree in related field
•Minimum of three (3) years administrative experience in post-secondary student disability services and/or Trio programs.

•Knowledge of ADA as amended and Section 504
•Demonstrated skills in grant writing, development and implementation of programs aimed at recruitment, retention, and supportive services
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills
•Experience in developing and monitoring budgets
•Skills in word processing, spreadsheet applications and database management
•Experience in working with students with disabilities and culturally diverse populations
•Familiarity with assistive technology
•Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

•Master's degree in education

•Knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices of the College
•Experience working with Banner Student and Financial Systems
•Skills in MS Word and MS Excel
•Experience supervising professional staff or advisors

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of business: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM – 5PM
