Duties: The Chief Information Officer is responsible for the overall leadership and coordination of educational and information technology for the college. The Chief Information Officer plans, organizes, and directs all areas of information technology services and is responsible for aligning IT strategy with the strategic priorities and objectives of the college. The Chief Information Officer is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning. Education/Experience: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required; Master's degree in a non-Computer Science area with equivalent information technology experience in an educational setting may also qualify. Minimum of fifteen years of progressive computer, network-related, and telecommunications experience, and comparable experience in leadership, supervision, strategic planning, and budget management required. Minimum five years in related industry managing multiple, cross-functional teams or projects influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders. Experience with an ERP system, Ellucian Colleague preferred. Qualifications: The Chief Information Officer sets the mission and vision of the IT organization based on the college's mission and strategic priorities; formulates and administers policies, procedures, initiatives, and operational objectives for all information technology areas; provides strategic direction for all IT operations, including infrastructure and architecture, applications development, re-engineering business processes, networks and computer and auxiliary operations and support; provides leadership, coaching and direction to the IT leadership team and staff; develops and administers information security policies and procedures for the college and is responsible to periodically audit for compliance; performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President or Vice President of Administrative Services. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:15 pm Minimum Starting Rate: The salary for this position is highly competitive and is coupled with a strong benefit package.
