Qualifications (Required) •An earned Doctorate or ABD in Kinesiology or Exercise Science with emphasis in one of the following areas: Exercise Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology, or Biomechanics, Neuromuscular Control Qualifications (Preferred) •Demonstrated record of research publication in one of the following or related areas; Exercise Testing and Programming, Exercise Physiology, Cardiopulmonary Physiology, Clinical Pathophysiology, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Neuromuscular Control •Collegiate-level teaching experience in one of the following or related areas; Exercise Testing and Programming, Exercise Physiology, Cardiopulmonary Physiology, Clinical Pathophysiology, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Neuromuscular Control •Record of involvement in internally and/or externally funded grants •Demonstrated ability in advising undergraduate and graduate research projects •ACSM Health Fitness Specialist certification or •NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification Responsibilities •Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in one the following or related areas: Exercise Testing and Programming, Exercise Physiology, Cardiopulmonary Physiology, Clinical Pathophysiology, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Neuromuscular Control •Collaborate with students and faculty in the Department of Kinesiology, as well as other appropriate departments across the University •Background, ability, and interest to conduct research related to the following areas: Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary Physiology, Clinical Pathophysiology, Obesity, Biomechanics, Neuromuscular Control •Pursue external grant funding •Serve as an advisor for undergraduate honors theses, masters theses and doctoral dissertation research •Participate in department, college and university service For further questions, please contact Ms.Suzanne Wambold at suzanne.wambold@utoledo.edu.
