Department Overview
UNT-International (UNT-I) is the administrative unit charged with directing all aspects of UNT's international operations and partnerships. UNT-I is a growing and strongly supported organization, and is central to the university's strategic internationalization.

In collaboration with more than a dozen colleges, schools and academic programs, UNT-I is aggressively expanding the university's global reach. The division serves more than 2,600 international students and more than 100 foreign scholars, primarily on the Denton campus, with departments and offices ranging from International Student and Scholar Services to the Intensive English Language Institute.

Job Description
The Study Abroad Office is seeking to hire an Accountant to join their team.

This position is responsible for:
*Developing budgets for a variety of study abroad programs as well as the Study Abroad Office
*Processing contract approvals and payment requisitions following university accepted standards
*Serving as the primary contact for Clery Act Reporting
*Completing and submitting all required budget fee requests, SA-100 and 1098 taxable and non-taxable forms according to policies and procedures of UNT's Registrar; Institutional Research and Effectiveness, and Student Financial Aid and Scholarship offices
*Preparing and reconciling all travel vouchers for staff and faculty led program leaders

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in accounting and/or auditing; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Working knowledge of accepted accounting practices, legal statutes, and policy and procedure affecting financial record keeping
* Working knowledge of cost and audit accounting
* Ability to work accurately with numerical detail consistently and to perform accounting operations legibly
* Ability to analyze, consolidate, and present accounting data in clear concise form
* Ability to coordinate and supervise the work of others

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have the following qualifications:

*Experience developing budgets for special programs
*2-4 years accounting experience
