Position Summary: Provides support to faculty and pre-clerkship students of MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine; works closely with faculty and course assistants at other sites to plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and oversee to completion a multitude of various tasks required to deliver the curriculum; acts as liaison between faculty, students, administrators, and various departments on campus; schedules and attends planning and debriefing meetings; plans students' weekly course and exam schedules; reserves and sets up classrooms and laboratories; proctors and assures security of exams; develops, revises, and maintains educational materials such as course syllabi, coursepacks, exam questions, and test results; enters grades; computerizes and imports data files to produce reports; incorporates educational techniques such as audio-visual and software presentations; hires, schedules, and oversees work of simulated patients, lab attendants, and lab monitors; makes student small group assignments; assists in the day-to-day operations of the Pre-Clerkship program and completes special projects as assigned. This position is located off-campus in midtown Detroit at the Detroit Medical Center.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in health education or a related field; one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience and knowledge of curriculum delivery; experience with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications: Detail-oriented; good organizational skills, project planning, and independent management skills; ability to ensure confidentiality and security of student records; self-starter with excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; enjoys working in cooperation with other team members as well as various faculty members and students; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions while providing quality service to students and staff; familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software and electronic email and calendaring systems; experience with or ability to learn the D2L course management system, as well as various COM-specific database program systems; experience in formatting reports; knowledge of or ability to learn MSU policies, procedures, and regulations.
