Position Summary: The successful candidate will act as an independent quality assurance auditor and/or under supervision of regional quality assurance coordinator; assists with planning and implementing quality assurance program at the North Central Region; will inspect and audit a comprehensive range of GLP studies conducted in the region; will conduct critical phase inspections, facility inspections, raw data audits, analytical summary report audits, and draft final report audits; will establish and implement a vigilant and efficient quality assurance procedure and ensure compliance with EPA GLP regulations; will maintain written and properly signed quality assurance reports of inspections/audits and submit the reports to the study directors and management in a timely manner; will maintain copies of study protocols, master schedules, and records of quality assurance unit; will prepare the quality assurance statement to be included in the scientific reports; will assist regional quality assurance coordinator in planning, implementing, and organizing the inspections/audits activities to meet the critical deadlines; will be required to travel to various sites at the North Central Region; also requires out-of-state travel.

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field; three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience, including quality assurance and Good Laboratory Practice; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Master of science degree in a related field; five years of experience in GLP quality assurance profession; strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
