Position Summary: The Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at Michigan State University (MSU) is searching for an individual to serve as an SRF Process Engineer I to join the Cavity Processing and Cold Mass Assembly group. This position will play an important role in fabricating, testing, processing, and constructing superconducting cavities and cold mass assemblies.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
Knowledge normally acquired by completing a four-year college program in engineering; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience with cleanroom maintenance and procedures, ultra high vacuum assembly and applications, chemical etching of metals, ultra pure water systems; assembly of engineering components; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to work with export controlled items.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Experience in large-scale SRF cavity development and processing techniques; self-motivated; detail oriented, ability to follow and uphold critical process protocols; mechanical CAD skills; good verbal and written communication skills.
