Position Summary: The successful candidate will circulate payroll reports to supervisors for review, amendment and approval; reviews payroll reports for completeness; reviews hiring paperwork for completeness; files or forwards appropriate new hire paperwork to Payroll; reconciles daily deposits, writes up deposit slips and prepares for pickup; receives, organizes, and processes requests for early arrivals and late stays; logs billing invoices and reviews billings for errors; issues and maintains records of building keys, orders core changes as required by Division policy; makes appointments for Community Director in Outlook calendar; enters data into standard forms and processes various reimbursements such as travel vouchers and cell phone stipends; performs clerical duties such as answering phones, sort and delivering mail, establishes and maintains departmental files, and ordering supplies.

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; six months of related work experience in maintaining accurate records, data entry, and/or balancing cash receipts; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of MSU accounting and personnel forms, policies and procedures; ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint software, Student Information System (SIS), Optim, RMS, Web Requisitioning, E-JVE, and Document Viewer; possession of a valid vehicle operator's license; self-starter who demonstrates a work orientation towards 'Delivering Outstanding Spartan Experiences', problem solving, organization, taking initiative, leadership, working as part of a team, and learning for continuous development; ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
