Position Summary: The successful candidate will function as an information technology (IT) professional. Major responsibilities to include: serving as technical expert to participate in, or, oversee a variety of analytical and technical assignments that provide for problem diagnosis and solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software and network products in an information technology infrastructure environment; the role is broadly split between providing day to day operational support for existing infrastructure services and users of those services, and project based work leading to the development and deployment of new infrastructure services; as a team leader, the employee will coordinate the efforts of other team members in support of operations and projects.

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related information technology field; three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Experience in a healthcare or healthcare IT environment; expertise and experience in Linux; familiarity with concepts of ITIL and IT service management; OS, database and network security; experience with Microsoft Exchange messaging system.
