Position Summary: The Department of Philosophy invites applications for an academic-year position in moral philosophy beginning 1 September 2014. Applicants with teaching interests in meta-ethics, moral epistemology, normative ethics, aesthetics, philosophy of law, and philosophy of mind are strongly encouraged to apply. The position involves both teaching responsibilities and the supervision of undergraduate independent work. The course load is two-two. The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellence in scholarship, teaching, and professional development. A complete application will include the following materials: 1. A letter of application 2. A current curriculum vitae; 3. A scholarly paper or dissertation chapter representing the applicant's scholarly achievement or potential; 4. Contact information for at least three referees, who will be contacted directly by email with instructions for submitting electronic letters of reference. These materials should be submitted online by 16 June 2014. We cannot accept application materials by any other method. Applicants are asked to have their referees submit letters of reference by 19 June 2014. The selection committee will begin reviewing applications immediately and incomplete applications may be at a disadvantage. Applications received by 4 June will receive a thorough review.
