Job Description Summary:

The Human Resource Coordinator will be responsible for managing the applicant tracking system. They will be the first point of contact for hiring managers and applicants in regard to recruitment for all faculty/staff/students positions. They will be responsible to assist with creating job descriptions, advertising in a variety of areas for all open positions, and training hiring managers on the recruitment process.
The Human Resource Coordinator will lead the university’s effort in professional development to include Annual Customer Service Training, Annual Compliance Awareness Training, and monthly Lunch and Learns.
Further, this position will take the lead on recognition programs, the tuition assistance program, and administering the online professional development system.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of two (2)years demonstrated experience performing human resource generalist duties.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment and/or staffing.
Experience in coordinating and facilitating training programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
Possess analytic thinking skills with an ability to make decisions and solve problems.
Detailed oriented, with the ability to multi- task and work effectively under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively influence and build relationships.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience utilizing PeopleAdmin or other applicant tracking system.
Experience utilizing Skillsoft or other online professional development system.
PHR certification.

Essential Duties Summary :

Manage the Human Resources applicant tracking system and serve as the first point of contact for hiring managers and applicants.
Maintain all files pertaining to open positions.
Submit advertising information regarding open faculty/staff positions for the Armstrong job website, and other sources as necessary.
Collaborate with hiring managers regarding job requirements and descriptions for positions.
Provide training to hiring managers on the applicant tracking system and maintain contact with them until position is filled.
Stay current in all areas of government regulations pertaining to employment policy.
Maintain annual training calendar, coordinator facilities, and schedule facilitators.
Meet with departments to identify professional developments needs for employees and create training opportunities. Evaluate training effectiveness.
Maintain department website.
Coordinate annual service and recognition award programs.
Administer online professional development program. Ensure all active employees have access to system.
Manage the Tuition Assistance Program.
Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
