Job Description:

The MBA Career Development Manager serves the MBA Career Services office by supporting career planning and coaching assistance for the MBA students. This includes the creation of career seminars, facilitation of the Career and Professional Development Course, advising students on a one-to-one basis, developing and implementing placement strategies for MBA students and supporting the MBA mentorship program to further the national and international career goals of the students. Works with the MBA Career Services Director to build and maintain productive recruiting relationships with employers.

The MBA Career Development Manager is under the direct supervision of the MBA Career Services Director. Will also coordinate with and receive work direction from the Associate Dean. Supervision exercised includes coordination of activities with other faculty, administrators and staff within the School of Business Administration involved in graduate programs. Assists with the supervision of the Executive Assistant in the MBA Program Office and other Student Services Officers.

Serves as the Career Development Manager for all the MBA Programs by performing the following tasks:
• Career Development
• Executive Mentor Program
• Network Development
• MBA Programs Representation

As a provider of information to students, faculty and visitors will need to:
• Be familiar with all graduate programs at the School of Business Administration
• Be knowledgeable of the degree requirements, scheduling, and other aspects of all the MBA programs to be able to effectively assist in all student service activities
• Be knowledgeable and assist in the promotion of all degree programs at the SBA
• Assist in the maintenance of the relevant aspects of the SBA web page
• Be responsible for identifying ways to promote our activities via the media
• Assist with special projects, as needed, to enhance the graduate programs and related activities at the School of Business Administration
• Providing information for students, faculty and visitors that links them with the appropriate service provider


Should have a bachelor’s degree, post-graduate degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in higher education, counseling, career development, recruiting or human resources.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m.
