The University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks candidates for an Assistant Director of Communications position in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment.

The Assistant Director of Communications will serve as the communications strategist for the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The individual will develop a high level, multi-year communications strategy in consultation with the Director of Admissions and Recruitment and other senior leadership to attract a high-achieving, diverse applicant pool from Wisconsin and around the world. The individual will plan, organize, and administer all recruitment communication initiatives and campaigns that are in line with university goals and those for the Division of Enrollment Management; and that are consistent with the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s brand and overall mission.

The individual will join a team that represents the university to freshman, transfer, multicultural and international prospective students, with a goal of attracting, recruiting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, geographically diverse student body.

The incumbent will serve as a member of the admissions leadership team to shape the direction of the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. This person will supervise a group of Admissions Counselors and a team of student employees, as well as manage a geographic recruitment territory, and chair the communications work group.
