Position Information:
The Well at UC Riverside is seeking a Wellness Programming Assistant to work with a diverse team of both professional and student staff members who are responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and connected campus and environment and promote healthy minds, bodies and communities. Within this exciting environment, rich with growth opportunities, you will be responsible for assisting with planning, development, and implementation of multifaceted, campus-wide wellness program outreach efforts as part of the WELL and the UCR Healthy Campus Climate/Mental Health Initiative. Through your vision and creative leadership, you will also design, develop, market, implement, evaluate and assess peer mentoring and education efforts to support and promote well-being, reduce stress and improve the quality of student life at UC Riverside.

This is a 100% career position through June 30, 2015, with the possibility of extension dependent upon departmental need and funding.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.

Experience in community, corporate or campus peer education and wellness programming.

Sensitivity to lifestyles and issues of a diverse student population.

Ability to develop and deliver oral presentations to large and small groups. Ability to organize, coordinate, implement and evaluate curriculum infusion activities and coursework.

Organizational and time management skills sufficient to independently set priorities, coordinate and complete a number of competing assignments with established deadlines.

Ability to exercise appropriate judgment and discretion, particularly in sensitive and confidential matters.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent listening skills.

Experience in or familiarity with developmental and other issues related to a college-age population.

Ability to work and communicate in a positive and cooperative manner with management and supervisory staff, medical staff, co-workers, and students.

Ability to learn and implement effective marketing strategies with a college-age population.

Preferred Qualifications:
Website design/maintenance.

Experience with research, data collection/analysis.

Experience with education programs directed toward college age populations.
