Job Description:

The Alfred State College Heavy Equipment- Truck and Diesel Technician curriculum is adding a position in our senior Truck and Diesel service lab. Responsibilities include instructing post-secondary students in heavy truck and diesel repair, student advising, recruiting, committee service, and maintaining industry relations. Applicants must be well versed in diesel engine overhaul, preventive maintenance, electrical systems, air brakes, and hydraulic systems used on modern heavy equipment and heavy trucks. The ideal candidate will also be fluent with computers used for word processing, email, and grading.

Requirements:

Applicants must have an  associate degree and a minimum of seven years of experience, with five of those years working as a technician.

ASE certification and factory service training are desirable. Applicants that have previous teaching experience and degree qualifications will be given preference.
