Position Summary: Michigan State University (MSU) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of International Studies and Programs (ISP). Building on the university's significant accomplishments and history of commitment to an international agenda, the next dean will provide the strategic vision and collaborative leadership skills needed to further MSU's role as a dynamic leader in international research, teaching and engagement.

A doctorate degree is required. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, administrative, and budgetary skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop a shared vision. Catalyzing the international research agenda is a central feature of the position requiring the ability to work across multiple academic disciplines and colleges and excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills. The Dean will have visibility with the international academic community; experience working with on- and off-campus. Earned doctorate and a record of achievement appropriate for appointment as a tenured full professor at MSU is required. Experience living and/or working outside the United States. S/he will have an accomplished fund raising record; an entrepreneurial spirit; and, be able to develop public and private partnerships to enrich the ISP mission.
