Description

 
Key Functions and Expected Performances:
  • Research administration; pre- and post- award grant management
  • Assist Grant Manager with grants, as needed; this will include use of COEUS to enter training grants, NSF, NIH, etc.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for all grants and internal cost centers
  • Reconcile labor records to the general ledger records
  • Investigate discrepancies found in reconciliation
  • Monitor grant spending against budget and financial report status
  • Assist with identifying and resolving financial and accounting issues
  • Track and monitor direct and indirect costs in accordance with approved budget and funding agencies' requirements
  • Provide administrative cross-coverage as needed
 
 


Basic Qualifications


Preferred Education, Skills, and Experiences:
  • Associate's degree and 3 years' experience required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Financial management skills required
  • Experience with grants and research administration strongly preferred
  • Experience with COEUS, DMS, Purchasing, and Travel reimbursements a plus
  • Pro-active thinking and ability to identify and implement process improvement
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
