Job Description Summary:

The GW SMHS Admissions Office for the M.D. Program is a fast paced environment, serving the needs of our 14,000+ applicants each year, as well as those who will be applying in the years to come. The Interview Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Admissions and provides front-line services to candidates interviewing for potential seats in the M.D. Program. This position requires full attention to all details surrounding preparation for interview day (scheduling, catering, etc.), not to mention a responsibility for sitatuating and executing the day itself.


Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma
One year office experience
Strong organizational skills
Excellent oral & written skills
Experience with public speaking


Desired Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
*One year of responsible office experience.
*Event planning experience
*A high degree of maturity, intelligence, sensitivity, discretion, and sound judgment.
*Strong organizational skills.
*Highly developed communication skills, including public speaking skills.
*Familiarity with database management.


Special Instructions to Applicants:

Job Duties
  • Faciltates interview days for selected candidates, including: set-up and clean-up, welcome and introductions, tour, time-keeping, acting as primary point of contact, assisting interviewees and interviewers, troubleshooting as needed throughout the day events, etc.

  • Responsible for preparation for all Interview days, including: managing monthy schedule, recruitment and scheduling interviewers, various agendas, evaluation reports, catering orders,etc.

  • Schedule and re-schedule identified candidates and serve as a resource to answer inquiries, provide information, tours, etc. throughout the application cycle.

  • Coordinates all Committee on Admissions meetings and other special meetings at the request of the Associate Director or Dean of Admissions.

  • Performs other work related duties as assigned.
